Jimboomas Indian seafood and curry restaurant, which opened in 2014, has expanded beyond its humble origins to offer a wide range of dishes.
The restaurant, located at the corner of Victoria and Adelaide Streets, is the latest addition to Jimbooms Indian takeaway offerings, which include chinese takeaways, fried chicken and chicken and rice.
The owner said the menu was inspired by the flavours of India and the region.
“Our main focus is Indian cuisine, but we also have other regional flavours that are available,” he said.
“We also have chicken and curry, which is one of the most popular dishes.”
It’s the one that we call our Indian takeaway.
We serve the main dish with some rice and some curries.
“For example, we have chicken tikka masala and a dish of curry, with some chicken tikkas and some spices.”
That’s where the name came from.
