The owner of a popular eatery in Gungahs electorate of Lymington is looking to open a new outlet in the township.
Blue Bell’s takeaway has been a staple of the Gunga community for years and has been run by Gungagans favourite Mr Gee since it opened in 2010.
“It’s been very successful, but we are really in the business of serving food and the community wants more,” Mr Gae said.
“I’ve got a lot of other restaurants that are opening up in Lymington and we have a lot more to do and it’s a bit of a busy time for the community but we want to get to where we need to be.”
Mr Gee said Blue Bell’s current location in the city centre was a popular one for locals to go to and he was keen to open up another outlet.
“We want to build a new restaurant that will be the gateway for our town and to open it up to the community would be a great way to do it,” he said.
The Blue Bells have been in the Gee family for almost 60 years.
He said while it had not been an easy decision to move the establishment from its current location to the township, the community wanted it to be a place they could visit regularly.
“People are always telling me how much they miss us and I just can’t see why they shouldn’t get a taste of what we are all about,” he added.
“The business has been around for 40 years and it is really good for the local community.”
Blue Bells is a family business that is not just a local business.
I’ve got great people working there, I know they love their customers and they are always looking for ways to make our business better.
“The Blue Belly is expected to open this month.
